Introduction
Analysis of the core content of the standard
| Technical dimensions | Vector data requirements | Raster data requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Exchange content | Graphics + attribute data (in accordance with SL/T 783) | Regular grid + attribute data |
| Metadata items | 21 mandatory items (Appendix A Table A.1) | 23 mandatory items (Appendix A Table A.2) |
| Exchange format | Shapefile/GeoJSON/GML | GeoTIFF |
Key Technical Specifications
1. Innovation in Exchange Mode
The standard defines three exchange mechanisms:
- Active Push: Direct transmission through the WebService interface
- Request/Response: Using XML format message interaction (Appendix B)
- Publish/Subscribe: Based on the SL/T 803 directory service
2. Data Quality Requirements
- The coordinate system shall preferably use CGCS2000
- The default elevation datum is the 1985 National Elevation Datum
- The time datum uses Beijing Time (time zone must be specified)
Implementation and application cases
The Yangtze River Conservancy Commission applies this standard in the 2022 flood forecasting system:
- Real-time raster data exchange with 12 hydrological stations
- Adopting a publish/subscribe model, data delay <5 minutes
- The metadata integrity rate reaches 100%, meeting the requirements of Appendix A
Standard evolution analysis
Main improvements compared to the 2007 version:
- Added support for JSON format (GeoJSON)
- Refine the incremental exchange mechanism (Chapter 5.2)
- Strengthen security classification (three levels: public/internal/restricted)
Implementation recommendations
- Deployment of class=instrument>SL/T 805 data exchange middleware
- Establish metadata automatic verification mechanism
- Preferentially adopt the element schema defined in Appendix D
