This standard specifies the gas chromatography method for the determination of safrole and 6-methylcoumarin in imported and exported cosmetics. This standard is applicable to the determination of safrole and 6-methylcoumarin in cosmetics. The lower limit of determination of safrole in this standard is: 0.0005%, and the lower limit of determination of 6-methylcoumarin is 0.001%. The lower confirmation limits of mass spectrometry are 0.0005% for safrole and 0.001% for 6-methylcoumarin.
