Scope

This standard specifies the flame atomic absorption spectrometry method for the determination of the total content of lead, cadmium and barium in alloys, polymers, coatings, ceramics, glass, crystal and other similar materials of simulated jewelry. This section is applicable to the determination of lead, cadmium and barium content in alloys, polymers, coatings, ceramics, glass crystals and other materials of simulated jewelry. The quantitative lower limits of lead, cadmium and barium are 20mg/kg, 2mg/kg and 30mg/kg.
