Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the determination of chromium, nickel, vanadium, molybdenum, copper, manganese, titanium, aluminum, magnesium, zinc and calcium in scrap stainless steel by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of chromium, nickel, vanadium, molybdenum, copper, manganese, titanium, aluminum, magnesium, zinc and calcium in scrap stainless steel plates (strips). Measuring range table 1. The aluminum specified in this standard is acid-soluble aluminum.
