Analysis of Standard Technology Evolution
This standard replaces SN/T 2032 (2007 version). The main improvements include: Extension of the measurement range to 0.005%-55%, a new high-frequency infrared carbon and sulfur analyzer parameter system, and multi-laboratory verification of precision data based on GB/T 6379.2. Core method principle
Sample in The SO₂ generated by tungsten pellets + pure iron in a high-frequency induction furnace (18MHz) is carried into an infrared detection cell by oxygen and measured by characteristic absorption at a voltage of 7.5-8.1V. Key reaction formula:
FeS + O₂ → FeO + SO₂↑

1. Low sulfur range (0.02%-1.6%): Use potassium sulfate solution for gradient dilution, 50μL standard solution corresponds to 0.02-0.8mg sulfur
2. High sulfur range (2.4%-38.4%): Directly weigh 13.04-52.17mg benchmark potassium sulfate

Implementation suggestions
1. Instrument calibration: More than 2 standard substances should be used for verification every day. LECO CS230C parameters are recommended (Appendix A)
2. Interference control: Samples containing crystal water need to be pre-baked, and quartz wool needs to be replaced regularly
3. Data quality: Repeatability limit is 0.017m+0.000 (m is the mean)
