Introduction

Interpretation of the core content of the standard

Technical module 2009 version Main revision points of the 2020 version
Load classification Three-level classification system Added the definition of particularly important loads, and refined the classification of natural gas liquefaction plants
Power supply system Basic requirements for dual circuits Clearly define the dual power supply configuration plan (Appendix A) and T-connection conditions for the public grid
Substation design Conventional substation New technical requirements for prefabricated substations (Article 6.1.3)

Key technical requirements

1. Load classification management

The standard divides oil and gas field loads into three levels, among which emergency shut-off valves and automatic control systems are listed as particularly important loads, with the following requirements:

  • Level 1 load: Dual power supply + emergency power supply must be used (Article 3.2.1)
  • Level 2 load: T-connection to the public grid is allowed (Article 3.2.2)
  • Natural gas liquefaction plant: Classification according to processing volume (Article 3.1.10)

2. Power supply and distribution system design

Typical case: A 500×10⁴m³/d natural gas purification plant uses a 35kV dual power supply line and is equipped with two on-load tap-changing transformers (Article 5.2.9). After reactive power compensation, the power factor reaches 0.95 (Article 5.4.2).

Allowable voltage deviation:

  • Electric motor: ±5% (+5%~-10% in special cases)
  • Lighting: ±5% in general places, +5%~-10% in remote areas

3. Substation configuration

It is recommended to use prefabricated substation (Article 6.1.3), requirements:

  1. The comprehensive automation rate of stations of 35kV and above is 100%
  2. Transformer load rate is 60%-85% (oil pump transformer ≥30%)
  3. Oil-free circuit breakers are used for high-voltage equipment (Article 6.5.3)

Implementation suggestions

Precautions in the design stage

Phase Work focus
Feasibility study Load classification confirmation, power supply scheme comparison
Construction drawing design Single-phase load conversion (Article 4.2.3), harmonic control

New energy application

Solar power generation can be used in remote well sites (Article 3.2.2), and the supporting battery capacity is calculated based on 4h accident discharge (Article 6.6.1).
