Scope

This standard specifies the evaluation rules, test methods and qualification indicators for metal pipeline welding processes in oil and gas engineering construction. This standard is applicable to gas welding, electrode arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, gas metal arc welding, automatic and semi-automatic welding of self-shielded tubular flux-cored wire in onshore oil and gas projects (excluding refinery projects). Welding process qualification for submerged arc automatic welding and their combinations.
