Scope

This standard specifies the basic requirements for material selection, structural design, manufacturing, assembly and testing of insulating joints and insulating flanges in electrochemical protection projects for buried steel pipelines. This standard applies to insulating joints with pipeline medium temperatures not exceeding 100°C and design pressures not exceeding 32MPa and insulating flanges with design pressures not exceeding 16MPa.
