Scope

This standard specifies factory-made, above-ground, closed-top, vertical cylindrical steel cast-in-place welded storage tanks of various standard sizes and volumes with an internal pressure close to normal pressure and not exceeding the design pressure in column (2) of Table 1. Materials, design, manufacturing and testing requirements for tanks. This standard applies to crude oil and liquid intermediate product storage tanks for petroleum and related industries.
