Introduction
Standard Evolution and Scope of Application
SY/T 5066-2020 replaces the 2008 version of the standard, adding five new technical parameters such as pressure-controlled test valve, and clearly applies to 105MPa high-pressure conditions and 260℃ high-temperature environments. The standard covers the design and manufacturing requirements of three types of formation testers: mechanical, pressure-controlled, and electric.

Key technology upgrade
Safety design system
The standard introduces a three-level safety factor (2.0/1.5/1.25) for the first time, requiring a 2.0 factor for key well control components, which is 33% higher than the 2008 version. The modified Von Mises criterion is used in the calculation of equivalent stress, and formula (1) limits the maximum allowable stress value.
Materials and surface treatment
- H₂S-proof materials must comply with GB/T 20972.1-3 Level 3 standard
- Dynamic sealing surface hardness requirements: chemical nickel plating 60-69HRC, hard chrome plating 66-70HRC
- Newly added 38CrMoAl plasma nitriding process, surface hardness>900HV5

Main points for quality control
- Ultrasonic testing is subject to acceptance according to NB/T 47013.3 Level I
- Nitrogen purity ≥99.99% (GB/T 3864)
- Trapezoidal threads require 100% magnetic particle testing
