Scope
This standard specifies the technical conditions, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and other aspects of the pour point depressant for pipeline transportation of crude oil, as well as the selection principles and steps and process conditions for the transportation process of adding pour point depressant to crude oil pipelines. And the determination principles of parameters, operation requirements, crude oil physical property monitoring requirements and special safety requirements. This standard applies to pour point depressants for pipeline transportation of crude oil and waxy crude oil pipelines whose water content is not higher than 1.5% (mass fraction).
