Scope

This standard specifies the technical delivery conditions for steel pipes (casing, tubing, flat-end casing pipes and pup joints) and accessories. This standard applies to the following types of connections in compliance with ISO 10422 or API Spec 5B:
　——Short round threaded casing connection (STC);
　——Long round threaded casing connection (LC);
　——Partial trapezoidal threaded casing connection (BC) ;
　——Direct casing connection (XC) ——Unthickened oil pipe connection (NU);
　——Externally thickened oil pipe connection (EU) ——Integrated oil pipe connection (U). for these connections. This standard specifies the technical delivery conditions for couplings and thread protection. This standard specifies pipe specifications, mass (weight), wall thickness, steel grade and applicable pipe end processing. This standard may also apply to pipes with connections not covered by the ISO/API standards. The four groups of products to which this standard applies include the following steel grade pipes:
　——No. 1: H. All casings and tubing of J, K, N steel grades;
　——Group 2: C. L,M. All casing and tubing of grade T;
　——Group 3; all casing and tubing of grade P;
　——Group 4: all casing of grade Q. Casings with specification code 1 greater than 41/2 but less than 103/4 can be used as oil pipes as specified by the purchaser, see Table C.1, Table C.24, Table C.30 and Table C.31 or Table E.1, Table E.24, Table E.30 and Table E.31. Appendix A summarizes the supplementary requirements that can be selected through negotiation between the purchaser and the manufacturer; non-destructive testing, semi-finished couplings, thickened casing, electric welding casing, impact test, couplings with sealing rings and certificates. This standard does not apply to thread processing requirements.
