Introduction
Analysis of the core content of the standard
SY/T 7692-2023 is an important standard in my country's offshore oil drilling and production equipment field. It systematically regulates the full process technical requirements of offshore drilling risers from inspection and evaluation to remanufacturing. The standard highlights three major technical features:
- Full life cycle management: Establish a dual-track traceability system of MDB (Manufacturing Data Book) and PHF (History File)
- Grading judgment mechanism: Classify parts into four categories: discarded parts, repaired parts, remanufactured parts and directly used parts
- Process control: Specify quality control points for 12 key links such as disassembly, cleaning and testing
Comparison of key technical indicators
| Test items | Acceptance criteria | Test methods | Special requirements |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seal size | Accuracy ≥0.01mm | Three-point measurement method | Test verification required |
| Pipe wall thickness | According to OPD/CPD | Ultrasonic thickness measurement | Spacing≤1500mm |
| Weld hardness | ≤22HRC | Rockwell hardness tester | Special requirements for acidic environment |
| Pressure test | Pressure drop≤5% | Graded voltage stabilization | NDT after 24h |
Key technologies for remanufacturing
Welding repair specifications
The standard clearly stipulates four types of prohibited areas for repair welding: pipe body pits, NDT unqualified welds, high stress area threads, and load-bearing surface locking block grooves. For permitted welding areas, the following requirements apply:
- Welding process assessment must comply with GB/T 20174 standard
- Remove heat affected zone of original weld ≥3mm
- Hardness gradient test is required for new welds
Typical repair case
Repair process for damage to sealing surface of a waterproof pipe joint:
- Damage assessment: Liquid penetrant testing is used to determine crack depth
- Cold working: Turning to remove damaged layer (retained amount ≥2mm)
- Dimension verification: Sealing surface roundness ≤0.05mm
- Pressure test: Maintain pressure at 1.5 times the working pressure for 15min
Standard implementation recommendations
Enterprise adaptation plan
It is recommended that oil companies establish a three-dimensional implementation system:
| Dimension | Construction content | Period |
|---|---|---|
| Personnel | NDTⅡ level and above personnel allocation | 6 months |
| Equipment | Pressure test system with accuracy of ±1% | 3 months |
| System | PHF electronic management system | 12 months |
Technology evolution trend
Compared with the 2017 version of the standard, SY/T 7692-2023 mainly strengthens:
- Material requirements for acidic environments (reference GB/T 20972 series)
- Digital traceability (new MDB electronic requirements)
- Environmental protection indicators (cleaning process complies with GB/T 32809)
