4.1 Light intensity of color light signal
For the first time, the standard establishes a dual control mechanism of upper and lower limits of light intensity. For example, the red high-column signal requires 2,100-6,900cd to avoid the overexposure problem caused by the traditional lower limit. LED signal needs to pay special attention to the upper limit compliance.
4.3 Requirements for dispersion function
Lens-type signal machines with dispersion function must meet special light intensity distribution:
- Red light intensity ≥800cd at a dispersion angle of 10°
- Yellow light intensity ≥1,200cd at a dispersion angle of 20°
Test method innovation
Clause 5.4 stipulates the application requirements of the new rotating test platform:
- Test distance is classified according to equipment type (8m/5m/3m/1.5m)
- Deflection function equipment requires sampling at 0.5° intervals
- The accuracy requirement of the illuminance meter is improved to Class II

Equipment Selection Guide: It is recommended to give priority to the light intensity adjustable LED signal light source, whose light decay curve is more in line with the stability index required by the standard.
Maintenance Points: The optical axis parallelism test should be carried out every quarter (Clause 4.8), with horizontal deviation ≤1° and vertical deviation ≤0.6°.
