Scope
This standard specifies the conditions for use, basic classification, design requirements, testing, packaging, transportation, storage, etc. of circuit breakers for electrified railways. This standard applies to indoor, outdoor, SF6 and vacuum circuit breakers with rated voltages of 27.5k V, 2x 2 7.5k V, 55k V, and frequency of 50Hz for electrified railways. This standard also applies to the operating mechanism of circuit breakers and other auxiliary equipment. Special requirements beyond the provisions of this standard shall be determined by the user through consultation with the manufacturer.
