This part of TB/T 3256 specifies the equipment, tools, equipment, magnetization specifications, performance verification, magnetic particle testing operations, quality assessment and magnetic particle testing records for magnetic particle testing of railway locomotive couplers and hook tail frames. This section is applicable to the magnetic particle inspection of couplers using special magnetic particle flaw detectors (instruments) for couplers and coupler tail frames.
