Scope
This part of TB/T 3256 specifies the materials, performance verification, testing operations, quality assessment and testing records for magnetic particle testing of general railway locomotive parts. This section is applicable to magnetic particle testing of various conventional parts of railway locomotives using portable yoke flaw detectors. All magnetic particle testing of parts and components not specified in special process regulations shall be carried out in accordance with the magnetic particle testing methods specified in this part.
