Scope

This standard specifies the railway digital mobile communication system (GSM-R) numbering plan (hereinafter referred to as the GSM-R numbering plan), which mainly includes number types and numbering principles, user numbers, equipment numbers and dialing methods. The user number includes GSM-R network user number, mobile user number, fixed user number, pilot number, special service number, Internet Protocol (IP) address, General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) domain name, etc.; the equipment number includes GSM-R Network equipment number, signaling point code, etc.; dialing methods include number dialing within the GSM-R network, number dialing between the GSM-R network and the dispatch communication network, and between the GSM-R network and the circuit-switched data service (CSD) ground equipment Number dialing, transmission format and display method of number dialing between GSM-R network and railway dedicated public switched telephone network (PSTN). This standard applies to the engineering design and application of railway digital mobile communication systems (GSM-R).
