For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 4549.1 and the following apply.

type of car freight car

the type of freight car that is classified in terms of shape characteristics of the freight car and the characteristics of the goods loaded or technical characteristics of the vehicle

3.2

model of freight car

combination of letters and numbers that characterizes the type, use as well as technical and structural features of vehicle

number of freight car

serial number assigned to each freight car
