Scope

1.0.1 This guideline specifies the design requirements for the layout of major structures, construction site planning, living and production facilities, and ancillary buildings in pumped storage power stations.
1.0.2 This guideline applies to the preparation of overall plane layout designs for pumped storage power stations.
1.0.3 The overall plane layout design for pumped storage power stations should be based on the needs of construction, production, operation and maintenance, and living requirements, taking a long-term perspective into account, while adhering to the principles of "environmental protection, land conservation, advanced technology, complete functionality, and cost-effectiveness."
1.0.4 When pumped storage power stations are located near or within nature reserves, scenic areas, geological parks, or water source protection zones (environmentally sensitive areas), their overall plane layout should be coordinated with these regions.
1.0.5 In addition to complying with this guideline, the overall plane layout design of pumped storage power stations shall also conform to current national standards and regulations.
