Scope

In response to the Made in China 2025 initiative, to promote the development of the robotics industry in our country, institutions such as the Research Institute of Machine Intelligence at University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Shanghai Hongqiu Robotics Technology Co., Ltd., Wuhan Huarui Zhide Robotics Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Xingzhe Robotics Technology Co., Ltd., and Zhongyuan Dynamics Intelligent Robots Co., Ltd. have proposed to formulate the Group Standard "Ping-Pong Robot." Currently, there are no mature or standardized specifications for ping-pong robots in China. To standardize and lead the future development direction of the ping-pon robot industry and provide a basis for design, manufacturing, inspection, and acceptance processes, this document specifies basic principles and implementation guidelines for the manufacture of ping-pong robots. It can shorten the design and R&D cycle of new products, reduce production costs, improve economic efficiency and resource utilization levels, and further enhance core competitiveness both domestically and internationally.
