The standard absorbs the technical support experience of large-scale events such as the Beijing Olympics and the Guangzhou Asian Games, and combines the application scenarios of new technologies such as cloud computing and 5G to build a systematic fault emergency response mechanism.

Four-level fault classification standard
Level I fault case: During an international event in 2022, the database of the central results system crashed, resulting in a 2-hour delay in medal statistics, which meets the Level I fault definition of "critical system interruption and no backup" in the standard.
Level III fault case: Some modules of the volunteer management system had a response delay, but the basic functions were normal, which was a Level III fault of "non-critical system performance degradation" defined in the standard.
Nine-step fault handling process
- Dual-channel information reporting (IT fault management system/emergency channel)
- Three-level analysis mechanism (technical team → venue manager → ITCC)
- Graded response (I/II level is handled by ITCC disposal team)
- Closed-loop management (must confirm the root cause solution)
Implementation suggestions
1. Plan formulation: It is recommended to formulate differentiated fault response plans for different event scales in combination with the flowchart in Appendix B of the standard
2. Drill focus: Special attention should be paid to the joint fault drill of the timing and scoring system and the TV subtitle system
3. Personnel training: It is recommended to establish a step-by-step training system in accordance with clause 6.2.2 of the standard to ensure that technical personnel master fault classification skills
