Introduction

Analysis of standard technical framework

YB4072-91 standard defines the complete technical system of hot blast valve for blast furnace, and its core elements include:

Technical moduleCast-welded structure (RF3)Fully welded structure (RF4)
Nominal diameter tolerance±4~7mm±3~5mm
Applicable temperature≤1300℃
Working pressure0.25~0.5MPa
Non-destructive testing requirementsJB1152 Level I standard

Key technical requirements

5.2 Material specifications

The valve body material must meet the mechanical performance indicators of GB700 carbon structural steel and GB3077 alloy structural steel, and the castings must meet the YB3220.1 standard.

5.4 Welding Inspection

Main butt welds shall be subjected to:
1. Ultrasonic flaw detection (JB1152 Level I)
2. Annealing to eliminate stress

Test and Inspection System

Test ItemsParameter RequirementsJudgment Criteria
Pressure Test1.5 Times Working Pressure/15minNo Leakage
Seal TestWorking Air Pressure/5minPressure Drop≤8%
Action TestOpen and Close with Full StrokeNo Jam

Implementation suggestions

Selection guide

Select the structure type according to the diameter:
RF3 cast-welded structure: Applicable to nominal diameter ≤1500mm
RF4 fully welded structure: Applicable to large-size valves of 1800mm with high precision requirements

Maintenance points

1. The refractory castables must be kept dry, with the surface 3-5mm lower than the sealing surface
2. Avoid open-air stacking during storage
3. Designated lifting points must be used for lifting

Standard evolution

When this standard was issued in 1991, it first clarified the classification system of welded structures of hot air valves, and subsequent industry standards were mostly developed on this basis.
