本标准规定了EPON/GPON系统承载TDM业务的参考模型、协议、接口、功能、性能和网络管理等的技术要求。
本标准适用于公众电信网环境下承载E1、n×64Kb/s类型的TDM业务，且应用场景为ONU发起、OLT终结TDM电路仿真的EPON/GPON系统。下列四种应用场景也可参照使用：ONU发起、OLT透传TDM电路仿真；ONU透传、OLT终结TDM电路仿真；ONU、OLT均透传TDM电路仿真；GPON ONU发起Native TDM、OLT做Native TDM到CES的转换。
Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements for the reference model, protocols, interfaces, functions, performance and network management of EPON/GPON systems carrying TDM services. This standard is suitable for carrying E1, n×64Kb/s type TDM services in a public telecommunications network environment, and the application scenario is an EPON/GPON system where ONU initiates and OLT terminates TDM circuit emulation. Four application scenarios are also available: ONU initiates and OLT transparently transmits TDM circuit simulation, ONU transparently transmits and OLT terminates TDM circuit simulation, ONU and OLT both transparently transmit TDM circuit simulation, and GPON ONU initiates Native TDM and OLT converts Native TDM to CES.
