High silicon sample processing case

When the silicon content of the sample is greater than 5%, 10 mL of hydrofluoric acid needs to be added during the sample dissolution stage (Note: a polytetrafluoroethylene beaker must be used), and the subsequent fuming time of perchloric acid needs to be increased to 15 minutes to completely remove fluoride.

  1. It is recommended to use Magnesium chloride reference material (purity ≥99.95%) when preparing standard solution
  2. For samples with a content of >3%, it is recommended to use the secondary dilution method to avoid exceeding the linear range
  3. Each batch of tests must be accompanied by the national standard material GBW07297 for process control
