Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and contracts for deformed magnesium and magnesium alloy round ingots. This standard applies to magnesium and magnesium alloy ingots (hereinafter referred to as ingots) with circular cross-sections used as blanks for other deformations such as extrusion or forging.
