Analysis of the core content of the standard
YS/T 63.13-2016 stipulates two methods for determining the elastic modulus of cathode carbon block and prebaked anode at 10℃~35℃:

Technology evolution and standard update
Compared with the 2006 version, the 2016 version mainly adds the acoustic resonance method as method 2, and its technical advantages are reflected in:

- Support non-destructive testing
- Specimen length/diameter ratio requirement relaxed from 2:1 to 3:1

Static method implementation details
Specimen preparation must strictly follow:
- Size: diameter 50±2mm, length 50±0.1mm
- Pretreatment: drying at 120℃ for 12 hours
- Force application procedure:
- Pre-force of 10kN to eliminate burrs
- Formal test points are taken in the range of 10-30kN
Precautions for acoustic resonance method
Acoustic case shows that when the specimen length is greater than 150mm, special attention should be paid to the following:
- The support point should be at 1/4 of the length (node position)
- Probe contact pressure should be controlled in the range of 0.5-1N
- Environmental vibration interference should be less than 0.01g

Implementation suggestions
- Method selection principle: Use static method for scientific research and resonance method for production control
- Abnormal data processing: If the deviation of three consecutive measurements is >5%, re-sampling is required
- Equipment calibration: For static method, calibrate the force sensor every month; for resonance method, calibrate the frequency generator every quarter
