The new standard divides waste wires and cables into:
- Waste insulated wires: divided into 4 subcategories according to copper/aluminum/copper clad steel/aluminum clad steel, each with 1-3 levels (wire diameter ≥1.6mm is level 1)
- Waste sheathed insulated cables: add a special category of steel core aluminum stranded wire
- Waste bare metal conductors: clarify the processing specifications for those without outer structure
