Scope
This standard specifies the definition and classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings, instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage requirements of esophageal speculum. This standard applies to the esophageal speculum (hereinafter referred to as the speculum) used in medical clinics. The speculum is mainly suitable for the examination of esophageal lesions and/or the treatment of diseased parts in conjunction with surgical instruments.
