Scope

This standard specifies the requirements and test methods for human peripheral blood sample collection tubes used for in vitro diagnostic examinations, intended by the manufacturer to be used once, with a blood collection volume not exceeding 1 000 μL. This standard does not include requirements for venous blood sample collection containers and arterial blood sample collectors.
