Scope
This part of YY/T 0809 specifies test methods for determining the fatigue performance of the head and neck of stemmed femoral components in partial and total hip replacements under specific test conditions. This section applies to modular and non-modular designs made of metallic or non-metallic materials. This section also specifies the test conditions, takes into account important parameters affecting the test component, and describes the method of mounting the test specimen. This section does not address the inspection and reporting methods of test samples; these will be determined by negotiation between the testing laboratory and the sending party.
