Scope

This part of YY/T 0855 applies to non-woven materials and woven materials used in disposable and reusable surgical drapes and other patient protective coverings with nominal laser resistance. This section provides a standard test and classification method for laser hazards caused by surgical drapes and other patient protective coverings, and gives a corresponding classification system. This section does not include general fire safety regulations. Likewise, this section covers neither other sources of ignition nor secondary ignition of coverings caused by lasers. All materials reflect part of the beam and the user must decide whether specular reflection may be hazardous, but this is not covered in this section.
