Scope
This standard applies to brackets and buccal tubes in fixed orthodontic appliances. This standard specifies methods for comparing the functional dimensions of orthodontic brackets and buccal tubes and details of measurement test methods, and also specifies product packaging and labeling information. This standard does not contain qualitative and quantitative requirements for possible biological hazards, but it is recommended to refer to ISO 10993-1 and ISO 7405 when evaluating possible biological hazards.
