Scope
This section specifies the requirements for single-use biopsy needles - manual (hereinafter referred to as biopsy needles). This section applies to disposable manual biopsy needles that are used to collect living samples from human soft tissue and bone tissue for examination through manual operation. Also suitable for single-use manual biopsy needles used with endoscopes. This section does not apply to reusable manual biopsy needles and reusable or disposable motorized assembled biopsy needles and motorized integrated biopsy needles.
