Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, etc. for marine electric fans and their speed regulators. This standard applies to electric fans and their speed regulators whose voltage is not greater than 250V and are driven by single-phase AC motors or DC motors for use in general cabins of ships. In addition to this standard, the safety requirements for marine electric fans and their speed regulators should comply with the provisions of CB 3415-92 "Safety Requirements for Marine Electric Fans and their Speed Regulators".
