Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage of marine internally threaded bronze packing cocks (hereinafter referred to as cocks). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of cocks for ship piping systems with a nominal pressure not greater than 0.6MPa and an operating temperature not higher than 100°C.
