Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of pneumatic friction clutches with pneumatic components. This standard applies to the design, manufacturing and acceptance of clutches used in marine transmission devices powered by diesel engines with nominal torques of 7 kN·m to 180 kN·m.
