Scope

This standard specifies the factory inspection requirements, sampling quantities, test methods and inspection rules for main raw materials such as steel plates, steel pipes, forged steel, round steel and welding materials used for pressure components of marine boilers. This standard applies to materials for marine boilers with design pressures not exceeding 9.8 MPa and medium temperatures not exceeding 540°C.
