Scope
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of Class J flange cast iron 0.5MPa stop check valves (hereinafter referred to as stop check valves) with flange connection dimensions according to JIS B2239-1996. This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of stop and check valves for ship piping systems for fresh water, air and other gases, oil, steam and other media with a temperature not higher than 205°C.
