Scope
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of Class J flange bronze 0.5MPa gate valves (hereinafter referred to as gate valves) with flange connection dimensions according to JIS B2240-1996. This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of gate valves for ship piping systems for seawater, fresh water, oil, saturated steam and other media.
