Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of marine jack rope pullers. This standard is applicable to the design, manufacture and inspection of rope pullers that are temporarily fastened to connectors such as horns and ear plates for cargo lifting. This standard also applies to other similar brakes used temporarily for traction.
