Introduction

Standard Overview

CB/T 4459-2016 specifies the terminology, technical parameters, structural requirements and inspection rules of marine HFC-227ea fire extinguishing devices, which is applicable to the design of fire extinguishing systems for ships, offshore platforms and other scenarios. The standard emphasizes the performance and environmental adaptability of core components such as fire extinguishing agent cylinders and container valves.

Key Technical Indicators

Project Parameter Requirements Test Methods
Storage Pressure 2.5/4.0/5.3 MPa 6.5 Hydraulic Pressure Test
Spray Time ≤10 seconds 6.8 Fire Extinguishing Performance Test
Environmental Adaptability -20℃~50℃ 6.9 Wet Heat/Tilt Test

Core component requirements

1. Fire extinguishing agent bottle set

Must pass vibration (amplitude 0.8mm, 20Hz) and temperature cycle (-20℃~50℃) tests, and the fire extinguishing agent loss is ≤0.5%. Steel container materials must comply with GB 5099/5100.

2. Nozzle characteristics

The equivalent aperture must be classified according to Table 5, and the flow rate deviation must be ≤10% after 600℃ high temperature spray test. The filter area must be 10 times larger than the nozzle.

Implementation suggestions

  1. Regularly check the indication error of the pressure display (≤±4% storage pressure);
  2. The medium flow direction must be marked on the selection valve, and the manual operating force must be ≤150N;
  3. The packaging box should be kept in the "upward" position during transportation, and the storage temperature should be -10℃~50℃.
