Scope
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage of marine lap welded steel ring loose steel flanges (hereinafter referred to as flanges). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of flanges for ship pipelines with nominal pressures not greater than 1.6MPa and operating temperatures not higher than 300°C.
