1.0.1 The code is formulated with a view to improve the development of light-weight building steel structure with gabled frame and improve rational design, manufacturing and installation, make the structure technology more state-of-art technology, economic feasibility, safety and usability, and make sure the engineering quality.
1.0.2 The code is applicable to design, manufacturing and installation of single-layer building steel structure for non-bridge crane, work class A1~A5 crane with not larger than 20t hoisting capacity, or underslung charging crane, which main bearing structure is single span or multi-span solid-shaped gabled frames.
The outside wall of light-weight gabled frame building may be brick masonry, and shall meet provisions in Article 4.4.3 of this code.
This code is not applicable to buildings in envelopment of vigorous-erosion media.
1.0.3 on the principles of current national standard "Unified Standard for Reliability Design of Building Structures" GB 50068, the establishment of the code is based on general provisions of current national standards "Standard for Terminology and Symbols Used in Design of Building Structures" GB T50083, "Load Code for the Design of Building Structures" GB 50009, "Code for Seismic Design of Buildings" GB 50011, "Code for Design of Steel Structures" GB 50017, "Technical Code for Cold-formed Thin-walled Section Steel Structure" GB 50018, "Code for Construction and Acceptance of Steel Structure Engineering" GB 50205, and combined with actual conditions of light-weight building steel structure engineering and construction in China.
1.0.4 the contents in design, manufacturing, installation and protection requirements of light-weight building steel structure with gabled frame that are not specified in this code shall comply with current relative standards.
