Introduction

Core changes in the standard revision

Technical indicators CJ/T 111-2000 CJ/T 111-2018 Range of change
Standard name Compression-type copper pipe fittings for aluminum-plastic composite pipes Compression-type copper pipe fittings Expanded scope of application
Thermal cycle test 690kPa/1000 times 1.0MPa/5000 times Pressure↑45% Times↑400%
Sealing test 1.0MPa water pressure 0.6MPa air pressure Media change pressure↓40%

Analysis of key performance indicators

1. Material specification

The standard stipulates that brass HPb59-1 and bronze ZCuSn5Pb5Zn5 are the main materials, and the sealing ring needs to be selected from EPDM rubber (XC7243) or fluororubber (XD7433) according to the medium. It is particularly required that the sealing ring of the gas joint must use the yellow mark.

2. Hydraulic strength requirements

Take DN20 pipe fittings as an example:
- Hydraulic strength: 2.48MPa@60℃ for 10h
- Burst strength: minimum 5.0MPa (16% higher than 2000 version)
- Thermal cycle: 5000 cycles at 20℃↔90℃ at 1.0MPa

Implementation suggestions

Selection considerations

  1. Gas systems must use compression fittings with yellow sealing rings
  2. DN≥25mm pipe fittings must ensure a minimum wall thickness ≥2.5mm
  3. Aluminum-plastic composite pipes must be equipped with plastic isolation gaskets

Key points for installation acceptance

  • Pull-out test: DN32 joints must withstand a tensile force of ≥3.8kN
  • Air tightness test: 0.6MPa air pressure for 3min without leakage
  • Thread inspection: external thread accuracy 6g, roughness Ra3.2

Background of standard evolution

The 2018 version of the standard mainly responds to the following technological developments:
1. Adapt to the application requirements of new plastic pipes such as PEX
2. Improve the reliability indicators of high temperature and high pressure systems
3. In line with international standards such as GB/T 18991-2003
