Scope

This standard specifies the liquid chromatography method for the determination of phenol, 4-nitrophenol, 3-methylphenol, 2,4-dichlorophenol, 2,4,6-triphenol and pentaphenol in urban water supplies. This standard is applicable to the determination of phenol, 4-nitrophenol, 3-methylphenol, 2,4-dichlorophenol, 2,4,6 triphenol and pentachlorophenol in drinking water, surface water and groundwater.
