Scope

This standard specifies the definitions, symbols, abbreviations, and products of double hot-melt socket-connected polyolefin pipe fittings (hereinafter referred to as double hot-melt pipe fittings) for injection molded steel-plastic composite pressure pipes using polyolefin pressure pipe materials as raw materials. Classification, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage. This standard applies to double hot melt pipe fittings used in hot and cold water piping systems, including industrial and civil hot and cold water, drinking water, hot water heating and central air conditioning systems. This standard does not apply to fire extinguishing systems.
