1. Corundum material properties

Corundum microporous body must meet the following requirements: Al₂O₃ content ≥75%, porosity ≥40%, compressive strength ≥40MPa. Acid corrosion weight loss rate is controlled at 1-2%, and alkali corrosion ≤5%.

Maintenance suggestions

It is recommended to use formic acid flushing or intermittent large volume flushing every quarter to keep the pores unobstructed. Chemical cleaning should be carried out when the resistance loss exceeds 150% of the standard value.


Impact of standard implementation

After the implementation of the new standard, the energy consumption of the aeration system can be reduced by 15-20%. Taking a 100,000 tons/day treatment plant as an example, the annual electricity saving can reach 450,000 kWh, corresponding to a CO₂ emission reduction of about 400 tons.
