Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, composition and classification, measurement, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of electronic direct-reading water meters. This standard is applicable to various calibers installed and used by urban residents that are based on base meters and equipped with electronic direct reading devices for measuring the actual volume flow of drinking cold and hot water, and comply with the relevant provisions of GB/T 778.1 and GB/T 778.3.
