This standard systematically regulates the technical indicator system of UV curing inks for flexographic printing for the first time, focusing on controlling key parameters such as curing energy (≤35 mJ/cm²) and viscosity range (500-3000 mPa·s), filling the gap in the industry.

Key process control points

Anilox roller matching principle

The standard stipulates that the number of lines on the anilox roller should be 4-7 times the number of lines on the printing plate. For example, when using a 150 lines/inch printing plate, it is recommended to use an anilox roller with 600-1050 lines/inch.

Curing system configuration

  • UV wavelength: 280-420nm band
  • Cooling system: must be equipped with forced air cooling or water cooling device
  • Energy monitoring: it is recommended to calibrate with UV test paper every 4 hours

Solutions to common problems

Handling of poor curing:When ink adhesion occurs, check: ① UV lamp life (usually ≤1000 hours) ② Cleanliness of reflector ③ Surface tension of substrate (≥38 dyn/cm)

Suggestions for the implementation of standards

  1. Establish an ink entry inspection system, focusing on monitoring fineness (≤10μm) and initial viscosity
  2. The printing workshop needs to maintain a constant temperature environment of 23±5℃
  3. It is recommended to check the wear of the anilox roller every 5,000 prints
